内容提要 | 我们使用2010年中国大学生调查数据,估计了名牌大学毕业生在劳动力市场上获得的工资溢价。回归发现名牌大学毕业生的工资溢价高达22.3%,在进一步控制了学生能力和家庭背景因素后,该数值下降为10.7%。这种工资溢价对女学生,以及生源地是大学所在省份的学生更为明显。最后,我们还证明了学生在名牌大学就读期间积累的人力资本基本上能够解释名牌大学毕业生所获得的工资溢价。 |
Abstract | We estimate the return to attending elite colleges in China using 2010 data on fresh college graduates. We find that the gross return to attending elite colleges is as high as 22.3 percent, but this figure declines to 10.7 percent once we control for student ability and family background. The wage premium is larger for female students and students from the same provinces as where colleges are located. We also find that human capital accumulated in elite colleges can explain almost all the wage premium. |
