| 内容提要 | 企业集团作为一种重要的经济组织，受到了社会各界的广泛关注。本文利用国家统计局编制的中国工业企业数据库2004年的数据，研究了集团化经营对企业业绩的影响，以及这种影响在制度环境不同的地区之间的差异。结果发现：如果不区分集团母公司（核心企业）和其他成员企业，平均来看，没有强有力的证据表明集团化经营对企业业绩有重要影响；但是，制度环境较差时，集团化经营会显著损害企业业绩，制度环境的改善能够减少集团化经营对企业业绩的损害；如果进一步区分集团母公司（核心企业）和其他成员企业，则平均来看，没有强有力的证据表明集团化经营会影响集团母公司（核心企业）的业绩，但是有证据表明集团化经营会损害其他成员企业的业绩；无论是集团母公司（核心企业）还是其他成员企业，当制度环境较差时，其业绩均显著差于非集团化经营企业，制度环境的改善既能减少集团化经营对集团母公司（核心企业）业绩的损害，也能减少集团化经营对其他成员企业业绩的损害，并且这种作用在其他成员企业中更加明显。本文的研究结论对于我们认识集团化经营与企业业绩之间的关系、制定国家产业政策，具有重要的价值。 |
| Abstract | In this paper, we use China industrial corporate data to investigate the effects of group structure on firm performance, and whether institutional environments can affect the relationship between group structure and firm performance. We find that the group enterprises’ performance is significantly worse than non-group enterprises’ when the institutional environment is poorer. Improvement of the institutional environment will reduce not only the damage of group structure on performance of the parent company, but also the other group members, and this effect is more pronounced in other group members. This study deepens our understandings of the relationship between group structure and firm performance, and has important value for development of national industrial policy. |
