| 内容提要 | 本文从上下游产业关联的视角，探讨跨国零售企业进入对中国制造业资源配置效率的影响。首先在异质性厂商理论框架下，本文构建了一个制造商—零售商的理论模型，分析了跨国零售企业进入如何通过“选择效应”和“市场份额再配置效应”来影响制造业的资源配置效率。在理论分析基础上，采用2000-2007年中国制造企业数据，并以11家在华经营的主要跨国零售企业为例，从生产率分布和企业进入退出两个方面考察了跨国零售企业进入对我国制造业资源配置效率的影响。实证分析发现，跨国零售企业的进入降低了我国消费品制造行业的生产率分散程度，促进了新企业的进入与低效企业的退出，改善了资源配置效率，提高了行业整体生产率水平。 |
| Abstract | This paper discusses the influences of multinational retailers’ entry on resource allocation efficiency of China's manufacturing industry from the angle of industry association of upstream and downstream industries. We firstly construct a manufacturer-retailer model based on the framework of heterogeneous firm theory to analyze how the entry of multinational retailers affect resource allocation efficiency of the upstream manufacturing industry through the effects of self-selection and market reallocation. On the basis of theoretical analysis, we choose 11 major multinational retailers operating in China to examine the impacts of multinational retail firms on resource allocation efficiency of China manufacturing industries from the aspects of productivity distribution and firm dynamics using the Chinese manufacturing firm data from 2000 to 2007. The empirical analysis point that the entrance of multinational retail firms mitigated productivity dispersion, accelerated the exit of the least productive firms, improved resources allocation efficiency and increased overall productivity of manufacturing industries. |
