AbstractIn this paper, the model of microbasis of macro-consumption structure and accounting eqution are constructed through decomposing macro-consumption structure according to classes. Then,the residential sector is divided into rural residential sector and urban residential sector,and the contributions of income share,consumption structure and average propensity to consumption of rural residential sector and urban residential sector from 1992 to 2008 are analyzed empirically. It is founded that (1) the change of consumption structure of rural residential sector and urban residential sector are the first factor which caused the change of macro-consumption structure,and the contribution of the former is bigger than the latter;(2)the rise of income share of urban residential sector and the drop of income share of rural residential sector are the second factor which caused the change of macro-consumption structure,and the contribution of the latter is bigger than the former;(3)the change of the average propensity to consumption of rural residential sector and urban residential sector can caused the change of macroconsumption structure,but the contribution of them are very small.
