AbstractAs an important factor of non-cognitive skills in human capital, personality traits has become a new hot-spot of labor economics research. This paper systematically reviews personality economics .On this basis, we use 2015”China Employer-Employee Survey”(CEES) and test the effect of conscientiousness, agreeableness, neurotic-ism, openness, extra-version on labor market with a big-sample and robustness testing. By the econometric model OLS estimation (Probit) and simultaneous equations (IV, IV-Probit), we find that:Compared with the empirical studies in developed countries, heterogeneity of the effects of personality traits does exist in developing countries. The promoting effect of conscientiousness on supply, demand behavior ,wage performance is the most significant. while the positive effect of extra-version, openness on labor market is weak. The negative effect of extrinsic traits ,agreeableness and neurotic-ism on the labor market is less clear.
